Flirty Floral in Boca Grande

After coming to Boca Grande for the last 14 years, it now feels more like home than Chicago. Everyone needs that escape from the cold weather to a warmer climate – if only for a week. This last week in Florida was exactly what I needed – a break from work, my social life and my volunteering. It gave me the renewed strength I needed to keep going and start planning my future. After visiting the south this time, it just clicked, this feels right. I didn’t want to leave, I didn’t want to have to come back to Denver. But alas, I did… at least for now.

One of the best parts of the summer getaway is the opportunity to show and wear the new summer trends. I purchased this dress from Nordstrom only 2 days before I left. Long dresses definitely aren’t my go to. Being only 5’3″, they can be hard to pull off. BUT this one made me feel like a million bucks and I think that is exactly what clothes should do – give you that confidence you need! The high-low hem is perfect and adds a wonderful detail to the dress. It is a classic and feminine piece I will be wearing all summer.

Lastly, photo credit goes to my mom. We had the best time exploring different photo shoot opportunities xoxo

Welcome!

Welcome to Haute 2 Trot. My name is Sophia! I’m a twenty-something living in Denver, CO with my pup, Duma. Haute 2 Trot was started at the beginning of 2020 after following other fashion blogs for years. Fashion has always been a passion of mine and I wanted a way to express this love with other like minded people. My blog will explore not only my love of fashion, but my interests in makeup, and a little bit of my day-to-day life. I want Haute 2 Trot to offer fun, feminine finds to everyone!
